Pain in the spine at either the back or the neck, is usually brought on by some sort of activity. This is a very common condition due to poor posture, desk sitting, muscle tension, vertebral subluxations and rib misalignments. Most often the pain improves with rest. This will lead you to believe that the problem has dissipated, which is typically not true. Pain in the neck or back is a symptom to alert you to a deeper problem such as a nerve irritation or disc concern.
Symptoms:
- Pain that is intensified with prolonged sitting and standing
- Stiffness
- Headaches
- Fatigue
- Forward head carriage
- Rounded shoulders with a "hump" that develops at the base of your neck
- Restricted range of motion
